My organ debut

Since today was Youth Sunday anyway, the minister thought it would be a good day for me to play the organ for the first time. So I did! And it wasn't perfect, but it was better than I thought it would be! Everyone really liked it too, and kept trying to talk to me while I was still playing the postlude. (They always do that!) But I was happy, and I think the minister was too.
They still have sub-organists lined up through December, but if I say so, they'll cancel the December ones and let me play. I asked about the possibility of them hiring someone for a year, like they were thinking of doing. It's sounding like they don't have the money, I guess, so that makes me happy. Although, I heard that from the minister, not from the guy who had originally told me about the idea.
After church, I bought some groceries and Emily came over for lunch and the Browns game. We make this really, really delicious Mexican meat-zza that I saw on Rachael Ray last week. It was soooooo good, I can't even tell you. And I got to use my cast-iron skillet, which is one of my favorite hobbies.
Then the Browns won, so bonus.
The Red Sox are probably going to win the World Series tonight, which makes me sad. And winter is now stretching before me... long, cold, and completely devoid of baseball.
