Climbing back on to the face of the earth

I haven't been keeping up with Live Journal all week. Sorry about that. I missed wistfulmaid's birthday too. Still, happy birthday, Catherine! I'm sorry I'm late with that one.

It's been a little crazy lately. The Indians lost to the Yankees on Sunday, but they won on Monday, which was awesome! It pushed the Yankees out of the playoffs and the Tribe went on to the American League Championship Series, where they are now playing the Red Sox. Whoever wins goes to the World Series, so this is a big deal.

Ellen is home this weekend for her Fall Break from college. (Now they're doing Fall Breaks in addition to Spring Breaks?) So last night, we watched the game at Jacobs Field. But it was really cold out, and the game was a bummer, as the Red Sox won, so that wasn't as fun as it could have been.

Today, Emily and Ellen both came over and we walked down to a local coffee shop for some beverages. We shopped a little too. This afternoon, we picked apples. Then we came back to my house and made dinner (including apple crisp!) and started watching tonight's game. They left a couple hours ago, and I'm still watching the game. It's tied 6-6 in the bottom of the ninth. I'm a little nervous.

I feel like I should have more to say because I haven't said anything for a week, but I guess that's it really. I've just been working and watching baseball and other routine activities.

Here's something: The audio book of Eclipse finally came in at the library and I've listened to five of thirteen CDs. It's okay so far, although Bella is getting a little bit annoying.

Hoping that the Indians go all the way to the World Series!!!

I just saw where they scored a run in the 11th! Grady scored, right? Eeeee!!!

YAY!!! I see where the Indians just won. :-) I predict that they'll clinch the series back home in Cleveland. *hugs*

Hee hee! I hope they do, but it'll be tough! They'll have to win all three games at home. But that would be better than having to go back to Boston and win one there.

Yes, Grady scored on Trot Nixon's single to make it 7-6! Then the Indians went ahead and scored six more insurance runs in that inning, and they won 13-6. :)

It's so exciting! I had the Yahoo! Sports page up on my computer, which refreshed every thirty seconds with the latest score. I started seeing the runs stacking up for the Indians, during the eleventh inning! Yay!!! :-) It would be awesome if they could clinch the series at home. I really hope that happens.

I remember when the Reds won the World Series in 1990. They swept the A's in four games, so I know that anything is possible!!!

It's getting more interesting now that I've listened to disc six. I just think that Bella is waaay too dependent on Edward. She has a hard time going one day without seeing him. I understand that she's in love with him and all, but she needs to get a life. :P
