I don't always notice the first time
Jul. 13th, 2007 07:51 pmAfter I applied for the apartment, my dad asked me what color it is. I think he meant the walls. And... I didn't really know. I said, "I think... off-white? Probably?"
See, I just don't always notice basic things like that. I notice details. Today, when I went to sign the lease, I tried to notice more things.
The living room is painted a pretty, golden yellow with dark wood trim, matching the dark wood floor. The kitchen is a light yellow/cream color with white trim and off-white linoleum. The bathroom is painted maroon. And the bedroom... um... I didn't notice. But the floor is the same dark wood as the living room.
Anyway, I'll take pictures when I move in, and you'll be able to see it, so I don't need to describe everything. But I'm pretty excited about it. I feel like it's much more of a home than my current, boxy apartment. I've never really felt compelled to decorate this apartment much, but I do feel compelled to make my new apartment really nice. In fact, I don't think all my furniture is nice enough for it. I don't have extra money to be spending on furniture, so what I have will have to suffice, at least for now. Maybe someday I'll be able to do an HGTV-style makeover.
Also, I'll start moving in on the 21st, and I don't know how that will work out what with the Harry Potter book coming out that day. Moving won't interfere with the party on the 20th, but it will interfere with reading time. You understand, I'm sure.
