Waiting for Emily
Apr. 3rd, 2007 05:36 pmIt's such a lovely, warm day, and it should be making me happier than I feel.
I am happy that Emily is coming over soon to hang out and practice her new financial skills on me. It's part of her new job - getting clients and telling them about mutual funds and stuff. I can certainly be a client if I want to, but mostly she's trying to get comfortable with the material.
But besides that, my shoulder (and my side, sort of) hurts whenever I try to breathe deeply. Or if I hiccup or sneeze. I mentioned it to Elizabeth today at work and she said I must have pulled a muscle. I thought that might be it, but since moving my arm doesn't hurt at all, I wasn't sure. I hope she's right though, and that it goes away within a day or two.
I'm bored with my job and I'd like to find a new one. I search online sometimes, but I haven't found anything yet.
As nice as the weather has been today, it's supposed to get really cold again by tomorrow. I'm talking like snow and stuff. Normally, that's a bummer. But it's even more so this week because the Indians home opener is on Friday and Ellen and I are going to it. So I'm worried that the game will be snowed out, and even if it isn't, it's going to be freakin' freezing out there, Mr. Bigglesworth. Baseball was not meant to be played in the snow!
Speaking of the home opener, I will also tell you about the Scottish couple I'm going to meet. I talk to people on the Indians message board a lot and one person I met is a guy from Scotland. I still don't know quite how he became a fan of baseball, or how he chose the Indians as his team, but he watches the games on his computer all the time and he's a big fan. He's never even seen a baseball game in person. But this year, finally, he and his wife have taken a trip to Cleveland. They flew in yesterday and they're staying for seven weeks! They'll be at all the home games in that time, and maybe some away games. So I'm going to meet them on Friday at the home opener! Meeting them in the cold and the snow is not what I had in mind, but I can't help that. And I'll be going to more games, so maybe I'll meet up with them again when it's warmer.
