Ellen called to tell me that she's going to be on the kitchen staff this summer at Camp Christian! Just like me! (In case you're new or you've forgotten - I was on the kitchen staff for three summers - 2003, 2004, and 2005.) I know she'll be the best worker they'll have, and I hope she enjoys it and makes tons of friends and stuff.
Ellen is still in Chicago, and she didn't end up going to the Harry and the Potters concert there. I don't fully understand why, but I think I wanted her to go more than she wanted to go, so as long as she's not broken-hearted over it, I'm not going to complain.
I was retouching a job today and I was sooo bored. I think maybe I don't like retouching. But if it could mean a raise, I'd do it. Kevin hasn't mentioned any raises, but I know he's planning to make all the cleaners into retouchers and hire new cleaners to work second shift. Maybe he'll talk money when that happens. I think what I like best is packing, and I'm one of the two packers. But when there isn't a job to pack, I clean. But the retouching box was getting full, so Kevin told us to retouch for a couple days. Eh, I did one, and then started packing it. And with more people retouching today, there should be plenty to pack tomorrow, and I'll be happy.
I don't have any good books to listen to. I do have a new McFly CD that I bought used for 99 cents. It's such a deal! When I opened it, I noticed why it couldn't be sold for full price. It has a hole through the CD case. The CD is fine, but the hole goes straight through the front and back, and through the cover booklet. I really don't know what could have made a hole like that. My first thought was that it was shot, but I think a bullet would have completely shattered the plastic, not made a clean hole. Anyway, I was jamming to it today at work. But I'd still like to listen to a good book. At least the Indians spring training game will be on the radio tomorrow. I'll get to listen to that in the afternoon.
