Santa Pronk
Dec. 19th, 2006 10:49 pmI've been meaning to tell you this for a few days. I don't like it when people are talking TO me, but referring to me in the third person. As in, "How's Laura today?" Hmm... well, I'm fine, but are you talking about a different Laura? Because I don't know any other Lauras who work here, and if I did, what makes you think I know how she is? Why don't you go ask her?
Also, sometimes when I'm driving, it just feels like everyone is in my way and going sooo slow. It probably has more to do with my mood than how things actually are, but it's annoying. I'm not one to freak out about road rage, but sometimes I just want everyone to get out of my way.
Okay, that's done. Now, let me tell you that I'm not actually in a bad mood. I'm happy because I did something super fun tonight!
I went to the mall where Travis "Pronk" Hafner was signing autographs! So now I have another autographed picture to hang on the wall next to the one of C.C. Woo hoo!
Emily, Ellen, and I had talked about going, but I wasn't sure if we were just kidding around or not. I called Emily on my lunch break to find out, and before I could even ask, she told me the plans. She, Ellen, and Karen were meeting at 4:00 to go to the mall and get in line and I could meet them at the mall after work. So I did. I'm impressed with them because it didn't start until 7:00. And by the time I got there, the line was sooo long. I was glad my party was up near the front.
The whole thing was a toy drive to collect toys for a charity, which I thought was nice of Pronk to participate in. The line was moving pretty quickly so there wasn't time to chat. All I said was, "Pronk! Hi! It's so nice to meet you!" If he said anything, I didn't hear him because it was so noisy. He signed my picture, I said, "Thank you so much," and he said, "You're welcome." That was it. I wanted to ask him if it was true what I read about how they all sit around the locker room eating Pronk Bars, but I didn't get a chance.
