The wee hours of the morning
Aug. 13th, 2006 01:33 amMy goodness, I am up late.
I got many things done today, most of them fun. I saved the not-so-fun stuff for tomorrow.
I wasn't confident that I had enough clothes for a week at camp, so I went to Target and Wal-Mart and found three clearance rack items that I am happy with.
Then, [duhn duhn DUHN] I got my hair cut! I am delighted with the result. I was tired of my long hair and I wanted something light and fluffy and easy to take care of. So that's what I got. I took some "before" pictures, and I will take "after" pictures and post them eventually. Maybe tomorrow if I have time before I leave for camp. The salon I went to doesn't deal specifically with Locks of Love, so I have to mail it in myself.
I also visited both Emily and Ellen at their places of employment today. Then I went to my parents' house where I traded them mowing the lawn for two loads of laundry. I would have washed my blankets and garb too, but they didn't have a lot of water left. That was okay though because the lawn only needed mowed in certain areas and it didn't take long. I think it was a fair trade.
Tonight, I spent some time with Emily and Ellen. We went to Wal-Mart and Applebee's. I was kind of just along for the ride so I could spend time with my sisters. Now that really was the last time I will see Ellen before she moves to college next week.
Indians update: Today was a rare double header, as the Tribe played Kansas City at 1:00 and again at 7:00. The afternoon game was a make-up game from one that was rained out in June, and it wasn't televised. I listened to most of it on the radio though. And this is why I love the Indians - they won both games today! In dramatic, close games, the Indians won 5-4 in the afternoon and 6-5 in the evening. They are on a five game winning streak! This is so exciting I don't know what to do!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that while I was away, the Indians traded their back-up outfielder Todd Hollandsworth to the Cincinnati Reds. I liked Todd. I thought he did a really good job when he had to step up because two outfielders were on the DL at the same time. And I liked being able to cheer, "HOLLA!ndsworth," whenever he did something great.
