Birthday, Indians, and book

venusgoddess18! I'm sorry I missed the actual day, Marcia! But I hope it was fabulous.
It was so nice to sleep in this morning. I haven't had a day to sleep in for three weeks, and the sleep I've been getting hasn't been enough lately.
Kenny Lofton is an Indian again! He was a popular, and very good, player back in the 90's. I didn't follow the team much back then, but I knew a little bit, and I definitely knew who Kenny Lofton was. Well, he's a bit older now, but he's still pretty good, and the Indians just got him from the Texas Rangers. It was cool to see (on TV) the fans cheering for him at the game last night. Cleveland still loves him!
Also, he seemed to add a spark to the team, as the Indians beat the Twins last night 10-4. The Indians had only scored like 3 runs total in the past week, so to get 10 in one night was a nice change. I'm going to the game tonight, and I hope that spark continues. Although, it's Jake Westbrook for Cleveland pitching against the Twins' Johan Santana. Westbrook hasn't been very good this year, and Santana is one of the best pitchers in the league, so I'm preparing myself for the worst. But anything can happen. You just never know.
I don't know if I have a ton of thoughts about Deathly Hallows, but we'll see. And of course, it's under a cut.
I loved this book. It was fantastic! Awesome! Superlative! My favorite!
Really, the only way I could be happier is if Fred hadn't died. But other than that, I thought it was perfect. Very fitting.
The Deathly Hallows themselves - it's just a cool idea. And the neat little symbol. I like things like that. I could feel Harry's excitement about wanting to find all three of them.
It was weird to see Dumbledore in a new light. He's never really had any flaws before, but it's good to be reminded that no one is perfect.
It was nice how all these characters and objects and events from past books found their way into the last one. It all tied together.
It's interesting that the Avada Kedavra curse and Expelliarmus seemed to have the same force to them, like how they met in the middle. I'd think that a killing curse is stronger than a disarming spell, but it's like they have the same strength, they just do different things. Or maybe it was because Harry was just stronger than Voldemort because Voldemort wasn't the master of the wand he was using.
I cried a little bit at the part where Harry brought back his parents and Sirius and Lupin, and then they went with him into the forest, where he intended to die. It was just so sad.
I thought the epilogue was so cute. It just made me really happy, ending up the way I thought it should. Also, it means that since he was born on July 31, 1980, Harry would be 27 next week. Last year, for his 26th birthday, I was saying that he's 26, assuming he lives through book seven. Well, now we know he lives until at least the age of 36.
My absolute favorite part of this book, and probably the entire series, is page 723.
"Tell me one last thing," said Harry. "Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"...
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
I love that.
